The OG Drop
Fig. 07Rex Chouk's signature character taken from a drawing to a limited edition resin figure with printed packaging.
Rex Chouk is an artist from Jeddah with an established character of his own. He came with the drawing and wanted it as an object. The work was translation: turning a flat character into a figure that holds its attitude from every angle, in kandura and sandals, book under the arm.
The figure was modelled, sampled in grey, then produced as a limited edition resin collectible with a printed box and foam insert, released by the artist as The OG Drop.
