The FoodSphere at Riyadh Oases has a butterfly enclosure and a section on Saudi honey, so its mascots were already waiting in the building. Bee and Butterfly were designed as a pair, with a character sheet of poses and expressions for use across the event.
From the sheet came two physical forms: 600 plush toys, and full size wearable costumes for the floor. The work was commissioned through &Bouqu on behalf of Riyadh Oases.
